An award-winning financial executive, Robert Colaizzi lives and works in Northern California. Formerly with Oracle Corporation, he received a Better, Cheaper, Faster Award from the company’s chief financial officer. During his multiyear tenure, Robert Colaizzi assumed roles of increasing responsibility. He completed his term as Senior Director of Finance and Controller for the Worldwide Industrial Sales & Service Business Unit.
Subsequently, Robert Colaizzi performed in senior financial leadership positions for a number of technology firms, including PeopleSoft, BEA Systems, Nuance Communications, Postini and Atlona. Throughout his career, he has spearheaded the sales of multiple employers, including the purchase of Nuance Communications by ScanScoft and Postini by Google. He specializes in establishing fiscal and operational discipline and maximizing profitability. Currently, he leads a financial and accounting team for Talari Networks.
Within the past two decades, Robert Colaizzi has obtained and honed numerous skills, including raising funding from venture capitalists, preparing for initial public stock offerings, complying with Sarbanes-Oxley regulations, overseeing multiple internal departments simultaneously, and creating accounting, finance and operational infrastructures. He also offers expertise in improved business processes in growth environments, internal controls, sales of businesses to strategic buyers, integration of acquisitions, corporate and business strategy, corporate finance, sales finance, sales operations, financial planning and analysis, Software Revenue Recognition, SEC reporting, investor relations, corporate governance, decision support analysis, contracts, mergers and acquisitions, treasury, cost accounting, and information systems (IT), human resources (HR) and project management.
Robert Colaizzi studied extensively before his professional endeavors. Concentrating on finance, he earned a Master of Business Administration with honors from the College of Notre Dame in Belmont. He also completed a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Santa Clara University. As an undergraduate, he fulfilled the requirements for a minor in Italian literature, including study abroad at the University of Pisa in Italy. For a time, Colaizzi studied electrical engineering and computer science at the University of California, San Diego.
